The government and its scientific advisers are stressing that education is the best way to keep COVID-19 under control. In line with this advice, TrichoCare’s Course provides detailed information on the causes, transmission and effects of COVID-19, practical guidance on how to break the chain of infection, for example through proper hand hygiene, cleaning and the use of PPE, and the importance of social responsibility.

“We are delighted with the final design of the Course, and with the response from early users. We are confident our decision to work in parallel with the VTCT(ITEC) specification has resulted in an enhanced contribution to education on COVID-19 infection prevention for the sector”, explains Nick Plunkett, Trichocare’s Managing Director.

The Course is divided into 6 Modules and each Module is divided into Lessons, with content provided in the form of text, illustrations and video. There are knowledge check quizzes in the middle and at the end of each Module to help learners check their progress.

The Course is certificated for stand-alone study, providing 5 hours CPD, while learners have the added option of taking the Ofqual registered examination through TrichoCare Education on the ITEC platform, remotely invigilated by TrichoCare.
