The Advanced Trichology (Level 5) Course is specially designed for qualified trichologists and other qualified professionals who are ambitious to advance their knowledge and skills in the field. It also helps them build their capabilities and enhance their services to clients. This Advanced Trichology Course at Level 5 is designed to give learners a strong clinical foundation in the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of hair and scalp disorders. In addition, it builds a successful and ethical diagnostic consultation practice.

Modules

The Course consists of 3 individual and comprehensive Modules and covers:

• How to identify scalp and hair conditions by using clinical signs and trichoscopy in the context of the Advanced Trichology Course material
• The anatomy and physiology of the scalp and hair in health and disease, as studied in our Advanced Trichology Course
• Product formulation science and critical research evaluation, both are key elements in the Advanced Trichology Course
• Clinical reasoning skills using the SMART model and patient consultations that are covered throughout this Advanced Trichology Course
• The systemic, genetic, and environmental contributors to hair loss, all explored within the context of the Advanced Trichology Course
• Modern tools like the TrichoTest, HairCoSys, and AI-assisted diagnostics are explained during the Advanced Trichology Course
• Ethical documentation, telemedicine and person-centred care models form a crucial part of this Advanced Trichology Course
• Business structures, processes and management decision-making as taught in the Advanced Trichology Course curriculum

How long will the Course take to complete?

• The Course should be completed in 9 months, which is the suggested duration.
• We anticipate that learners will devote 4-6 hours per week to complete the Course, a commitment typical for the Course.

What if something unexpected happens that prevents me from studying?

If you become unable to continue studying for a time, for example because of illness, bereavement or other change in circumstances, you can request a break in learning for up to 3 months while enrolled on the Course.

Will I meet other learners?

We’ll add you to the Learners’ WhatsApp group so you can share ideas, and ask questions, with other learners and the TrichoCare Education Team. By joining the ART (Association of Registered Trichologists), you’ll be able to network with other like-minded professionals. You can join special ART seminars and events. Furthermore, you can attend practical ART workshops—all while benefiting from connections made on the Advanced Trichology Course.

What’s the cost of the Course?

• Each unit can be bought separately and forms part of the overall cost structure for the Advanced Trichology Course:

  • Unit 1: £900

  • Unit 2: £500

  • Unit 3: £500

  • Total if bought separately: £1,900

• Bundle option (all 3 units): for those looking to manage costs while progressing through the Advanced Trichology Course

  • £1,800 as a single payment (and save £100) when enrolling in the full Advanced Trichology Course

  • Or 4 monthly payments of £475 for the complete Advanced Trichology Course

Are there are any additional costs?

Learners exceeding the 9 months completion target for the Advanced Trichology Course may incur an additional £170 per month license extension fee.
