Introduction to Trichology

The Introduction Course is an online course for those who want to discover the potential of Trichology. Learn about the structure of hair and skin and what causes problems.

Topics in this course are relevant to you and your job. You can learn at home and at your own pace.

At the end of the course, successful students will receive a 10 CPD hours certificate and be equipped to offer advice and refer clients to a Registered Trichologist ART.

Once you have completed this course you can continue to develop your knowledge to gain an accredited Level 4 Course in Trichology and move forward to become a qualified Trichologist and a member of the Association of Registered Trichologists.

Course Duration

10 CPD hours

The course duration is flexible and is studied exclusively online. The literature provides guidelines for suggested hours dedicated to study, but these are flexible – students will be able to study and complete assignments in their own time.

Course Location

Online

Course notes will be provided online as well as audio commentary. Students can study and respond to multiple choice questions at the end of each section.

Course Content

The course is divided into four Parts:
Part 1: The main sciences that relate to Trichology, and the organisation of the body and its systems
Part 2: The structure and function of the skin and hair
Part 3: The body’s defences: The immune system
Part 4: Some of the common hair and scalp conditions.

Course pricing

The Introduction to Trichology Course costs £150 inclusive of VAT. The cost of the course will be credited against the Level 4 Certificate in Trichology.

Progression

Where to go from here

On successful completion, the candidate is awarded the Introduction to Trichology Certificate and will be invited to study the Level 4 Certificate in Trichology. This is intended to provide a progression route to official recognition as a registered Trichologist.
