Clinical Lectures 1 & 2

Suitable for:

Students of ITEC Level IV Qualification and those wishing to work towards a qualification in Trichology who have already completed the Introduction to Trichology course.

Lecture 1:  In our theory session this Lecture includes definitions of anatomy and physiology, states of matter, chemical composition and tissue types In the practical element students cover consultation, examination and legislation, underpinning the difference between hypothesis and diagnosis and the relevance of prescription.

Lecture 2:  In this theory only session this Lecture includes structures and broad functions of hair and its parts in relation to the skin, blood supply to the hair, the integumentary system,male pattern hair loss (genetic basis; progression; hormonal influence and treatment; female and diffuse hair loss) and effects of ageing on the skin. We also look at the cardiovascular system, looking at its components and circulation before moving on to blood pressure and pathologies.
